But a scripture calendar is even more important because it helps children hide God’s word in their heart.

When we store God’s Word in our heart, we learn to know His revealed Truth.

In Psalm 119:105 the Psalmist wrote, “Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, a light unto my path.”

Earlier in the Psalm he wrote, “How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. I have tried hard to find You— don’t let me wander from Your commands. I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”

One good way to hide God’s Word in our hearts is to pray the scripture verse featured on the calendar every day.

I made this calendar for my grandchildren and then shared it with the other little ones in our extended family.

A wonderful activity to help children learn important dates on their calendar is to let them add stickers to family birthdays, holidays, and other important events and celebrations.

Stickers are also a good way to help them remember when they have appointments on certain days or assignments to complete. Or if they love to draw, they can draw on their important dates to mark them rather than use stickers!
