The Lord inspired this prayer poem “Love As I Have Loved You” after reading the Gospel of John.
In John 15:12 the Lord Jesus said to His disciples, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”
In chapter 13:34-35, He told His disciples after washing their feet.
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Mother Theresa once said that Christ's servants are His hands and feet.
I've always heard that we should remember as we go about our day that we are the only Jesus that some will ever see.
When we show others the love of God, we are also loving Jesus.When we encourage or pray for others, even just giving away a smile to someone, we are sharing the love of Christ.
I believe we bring God great joy when we walk in love, and our lives not only bless Him, but become a great blessing to those around us.
