"Jesus and Child in the Storm"

This beautiful small 5" x 7" matted print depicts Jesus walking on stormy waters with a little child. He gazes lovingly into her face as He holds tightly to her hand, while the wind and waves billow all about them. His face is peaceful and smiling as if to reassure her that all will be well despite the dark clouds and the fearsome waves pounding all about them.
The child clings to her Lord as the wind buffets her little body. The one hand behind her back suggests her fear and doubt but she steadfastly gazes into the face of her Savior despite her fears. Jesus seems to sing to her through the troubled waters, "All will be well, all will be well..."

I painted this picture in 2009 during a time when I was recovering from a serious illness. During that time the Lord gave me a series of paintings of Jesus walking with a little girl. The little girl would always give the Lord one of her hands and hold the other hand behind her back in my paintings as if that were her way of saying, "I trust You, Lord, but I'm really scared."
The Lord knows our fears. He meets each of us just where we are without judging or condemning us. He loves us unconditionally. He continues to hold us through our storms despite our fears and worries and doubts. He will never fail or forsake us.
