Original Thank You/Encouraging Blank Greeting Card
"Be Ye Thankful" ~ Colossians 3:15 (KJV) is a scripture verse from the bible that admonishes us to be grateful no matter what happens.
Every day that we live is a gift from our Creator. Our lives are His gift to us.
No matter what is going on in our world today, there is always something we can find to be thankful for.
A neighbor whose wife was undergoing a severe time of suffering once told me that he could not feel sorry for himself because he realized that he didn't have far to look to see that there always would be someone who was worse off than he and his dear wife were, and that knowledge made him very thankful.
I marveled at how he handled his suffering. His sense of gratitude had made no place for weeds of bitterness to grow in his heart and to poison his outlook.
The Still Life Painting of Pumpkins and gourds is from a watercolor study I made one fall afternoon.
I recently painted the colorful border of pumpkins and gourds and vines on my Ipad and by combining both paintings I created a unique new painting.
I had fun redesigning this card!
